The Bluest (prod. The Pocket Queen)
Shout out to Taylor Gordon (@ThePocketQueen) for this beat. Grateful for the call to create!! Also, Rest in Power to Chadwick (@chadwickboseman) and August Wilson (who wrote the play that became the movie, Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom). Black Art Matters. Its a blessing to be rappin’ over such a groove with a dope artist/creatives consent, thanks Taylor! I’ve been in a bit of a rut creatively, this woke me up. There are too many layered meanings of dopeness as to why this touches me so deeply. I won’t get into that here though.
I will update this post another time with the rest of the lyrics and some of the ideas behind this verse.
